If you’re looking for some new and exciting trip ideas, I have some good news for you. You don’t need to take a long vacation in the mountains to get away from it all and have fun. A national park in Alaska is a wonderful way to spend a week or two and get back to nature. Whether you hike in the wilderness or snow sled in Alaska’s winter, you’ll be able to escape society’s fast-paced lifestyle and enjoy time with your family. Here are some of my favorite Alaska trip ideas.
The National Park Service has some fabulous and beautiful trails for you to explore, and you can take a hike, drive a bicycle, take a snow shoe ride, take a railroad train, or carpool with others to save money on gas. If you like to travel by train, you can make the most out of your trip by going on an Alaskan railroad train tour. You can also participate in a native art workshop, spend the night in a room of native arts and crafts, and enjoy food from local restaurants. There are many trip ideas available through the National Park Service, and if you want to do some research on your own, the official website has a lot of information regarding road trips, winter and summer trips, and foliage sightseeing.
If you are looking for a unique and off-the-beaten path trip, glamping is one great idea to consider. You can choose to stay in a tent, take a log cabins, go RV camping, rent a cabin in the woods, or cook on a campfire. Some of my family members love to go camping, and we never fail to find a nice place with a good campsite. My mother’s favorite vacation spot is the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, so if you’re looking for a unique place to go for a week or two, I would definitely suggest taking a trip to one of the numerous national parks in Alaska.
